Softphone VTGO Lite Installation and Configuration Instructions
VTGO PC Lite is a softphone that uses Cisco's SCCP (Skinny) Protocol. It is Enterprise Class Voice Over IP Softphone Solution for Windows. VTGOPC Lite is a cost saving alternative to traditional hard phones where space is limited, for mobile users who need advanced call management, and for disaster recovery.
Follow these steps to install and configure VTGO PC LITE softphone
- Browse to the following link to download VTGO PC LITE softphone from your web browser

- Click on the 'DOWNLOAD' button and the installation process begins in a moment. VTGO lite phone is free to use for 2 minutes of call time and 20 minutes of usage (or click 'PURCHASE' to buy it)

- Click on the 'Open' button to start or click 'Save' to save it on your computer

- Double click on the ‘VTGO-PC-….’ file to extract the setup file

- Click on ‘Run’ to start the setup

- Click ‘Next’ to continue the setup process

- Review and understand the ‘End User License Agreement’, click ‘I accept…’ and ‘Next’

- Fill in the ‘User Name’ and ‘Organization’ Fields, or you can skip that and click ‘Next’

- Choose the Installation Directory (left unchanged in most cases), and then ‘Next’

- Choose ‘Complete’ button to install all the program features and then ‘Next’

- Choose ‘Install’

- Click ‘Launch VTGO-PC Lite’ and then ‘Finish’:

- This wizard allows you to configure the audio on your phone to ensure quality. Plug in your 'USB Telephone' or 'Headset device' then'Next' Click

- Choose the Audio Input and Output options, click ‘Next’:
(Visit http://www.ipblue.com/usb_devices.asp for a list of approved/recommended devices, such as USB headsets, for best results)
- Test the audio settings, chose ‘Next'

- Choose the appropriate connection codec. This depends on the reliability and speed of your connection. Please consult the local Network Administrator for details. If you experience voice quality issues, choose ‘Cable/DSL…’ option. Otherwise, choose ‘LAN…’ option in most cases:
- Under the ‘Select the network card…’ option, choose the Network card. If you have multiple options, please consult the local Network Administrator to determine which network card should be used. (Typically, it’s NOT the ‘Bluetooth…’ network card)
- The ‘use STUN’ and ‘use UPnP’ options are typically left un-checked, however, consult the local Network Administrator to determine whether these will be required or not. It will also be a good idea to note the Mac Address for trouble-shooting purposes. Choose ‘Next’:

- In the ‘TFTP Server’ field, type in 216.81.55.12, choose ‘Next’:

- Choose the appropriate address book option. If unsure, leave the option to the default ‘None’. Choosing ‘Outlook Contacts’ will allow you to dial number of your MS Outlook Contact directly. For more details regarding this feature, choose the ‘Help’ option in the application:

- Choose the Profile. Profiles can be useful for advanced users who are often in different types of locations. Please refer to VTGO-PC Lite help for more details and check the box 'Apply the current configuration' then click 'Finish'

- VTGO-PC Software may take a moment to start up

- After installing and testing, you may want to purchase the VTGO-PC software. Currently, this is done directly with the Vendor (IPBlue.com). The registration option will appear every time the software is started until registered. Click ‘Cancel’:

- Click on the

Check the ‘Run as VocalData/Tekelec/Genband client’ (un-checked by default). Also ensure that ‘Primary CallManager:’ lists: 216.81.55.12

- Under the ‘Phone’ tab, be sure to choose the correct phone type. This can be seen on the top right hand corner of your physical phone. If unsure, contact your local Network Administrator for details then click 'Apply' and 'OK'

- Now we need to ‘Hotel’ the phone from your physical phone to your Virtual VTGO-PC phone.
- Press the ‘Speakerphone’ button:

Dial your number in the following format (in most cases):
1. Dial your company’s main number
2. Press *
3. Dial your extension
4. Press #
5. Now enter your Web Portal password followed by the # key. (Note that this may not necessarily be the same as your Voice Mail password).
After the above step, the VTGO-PC Lite phone will appear as your phone.
Your physical phone will now appear with ‘????’ in place of the extension.
To ‘Hotel’ the Virtual phone back to the physical phone, follow the same instructions:
Press the ‘Speakerphone’ button on your physical phone.
Dial your number in the following format (in most cases):
- Dial your company’s main number
- Press *
- Dial your extension
- Press #
- Now enter your Web Portal password followed by the # key.
