Modifying Find-Me List Options
The Options page allows you configure how calls will be forwarded and how the Caller ID of the incoming call is displayed.
To configure the Find-Me Options:
1. After creating a list and adding a number, you should be on the Numbers page. If not, click on Call Management > Find-Me tab. Click the edit button ( ) under the Functions column of the list you want to configure, then click the Options button.
2. You can modify the name of the Find-Me list by editing the Find-Me List Name field.
3. Next to Find-Me Strategy, select one of the following:
- Sequential – if your desk phone is unanswered, each phone in your Find-Me list will be called in order until one is answered. If all phones in the list are unanswered, the call will go to your desk phone voice mail.
- Ring All – if your desk phone is unanswered, all phones in your Find-Me list will ring at once.
- Simultaneous Ring – this selection will simultaneously ring all of the phones in your Find-Me list, including your desk phone.
4. If desired, uncheck the Show Caller ID box to prevent showing the incoming call's caller ID on the destination phone. If you uncheck this box, the caller ID will display the number of your IP phone, so you will know that it is a Find-Me call. This box is checked by default.
5. If desired, check the Play Please Wait… prompt checkbox to have the caller here the phrase “Please wait while we locate your party” prompt while they are waiting for the Find-Me feature to ring you at your current location.
6. Click Save to store the changes.
